The Crafter Cab Chassis is a workhorse, designed to put in long shifts. That’s why it boasts one of the most comprehensive suites of safety and driver assistance systems in its class, some of which are firsts for the sector. Add to that a huge array of connectivity options, and you’ve got everything you need to keep your business moving.
Front Assist with City Emergency Braking
Stay on the front foot.
Using a radar sensor, Front Assist detects a possible collision with the vehicle in front. It will warn you and prepare the car for braking. If nothing changes, it applies the braking giving you a better chance of avoiding or minimising a collision. When you’re travelling below 30km/h, City Emergency Braking will prepare the braking if a collision is likely. If the driver doesn’t brake, the system will do it automatically.
Driver Fatigue Detection1
A welcome wake-up call.
Exclusive to the Crafter range, this potentially life-saving system continually evaluates steering movements and other independent signals, and if fatigue is detected, warns the driver with an alarm, and recommends the driver take a break on the Multi-Function display.

Multi-Collision Brake1
Lessen the chance of follow-on collisions.
Another feature exclusive to the Crafter, this state-of-the-art system uses two independent sensors to detect a collision, and applies the braking to slow down the vehicle, so that a secondary impact will be lessened or avoided. During braking, the hazard and braking lights are illuminated and remain activated. The driver can take over at any time.

Hill Hold Assist1
It’s all uphill from here, in a good way.

The Crafter Cab Chassis now features front side and curtain airbags for the driver and front passenger, giving you the optimal protection in the event of head-on or side impacts.

Electronic Differential Lock1
Never lose control around corners.
When cornering, this valuable safety system responds to the load relief at the front wheel on the inside of a corner, which improves traction and reduces the tendency to understeer.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)1
Cruise on through.
The optional Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system lets you set the speed you want to travel and the gap you want to allow between you and the car in front. Using a radar sensor, the car then maintains your speed and your distance. In doing so it makes life easier for the driver, particularly on long journeys, and reduces the risk of exceeding the speed limit. Forms part of the optional Driver Assistance Package 'Chassis'.

Lane Assist1
Stay on track.
Using a camera to monitor the markings on the road ahead, the optional Lane Assist helps keep you safe by working to prevent you leaving your lane unintentionally. If you start to leave your lane without indicating the system takes corrective steering action. If you still don’t respond a message will appear in the Multi-Function Display in conjunction with a warning tone. Forms part of the optional Driver Assistance Package 'Chassis'.

Access selected apps, voice activation, maps and music on your smartphone through App-Connect. This is possible thanks to three innovative technologies: Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™ and MirrorLink® interfaces. So, you can conveniently control compatible apps via the touchscreen display while also having the ability to pair two phones at the same time.

The new Crafter Cab Chassis’ has power where you need it, to keep your business on track. With a new 2.0L bi-turbo diesel engine, the 8-speed auto – plus a range of efficiency features, it’s one smart workhorse.
Engine
Economical Power.
The new Crafter Cab Chassis features a 2.0L TDI diesel bi-turbo common rail engine, developed for specifically for commercial usage that puts out 130kW of power and 410Nm of torque. With BlueMotion technology including Stop/Start system3 and regenerative breaking as standard, you can expect efficiency and reliability even with high mileage delivery driving.
3. The Start/Stop system is designed to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. It achieves this by automatically switching off the engine while the vehicle is stationary and then starting it again automatically when the driver wants to drive off. There are certain operating conditions where the Start/Stop system is deactivated (e.g. during engine warm-up), please refer to the owner’s manual for full operating information.

The Crafter Cab Chassis’ ergonomic cabin has space for three in the single cab, and seven in the dual cab. Driver comfort is the focus, with a newly designed driver seat featuring longitudinal and height adjustment, electrical 4-way adjustable lumbar support, adjustable backrest and seat cushion angle, and two adjustable armrests. All of this is paired with generous storage throughout to make your working day easier.
